Wednesday Beer Tasting - 6/06 |
The World of Wheat Ales
Wednesday, June 06
5:30 to 6:30
MSWS Downtown

A few of weeks ago we had our annual Hefeweizen tasting – a cavalcade of unfiltered Bavarian wheat beers (and American beers done in that style). Those are fine, but there's so much more to wheat beers.
Wheat malt is the second most popular brewing malt, after barley. It provides a cleaner malt taste than barley with a potentially tart, citrusy edge. America, Belgium, and Germany all produce distinctive wheat beers. This Wednesday we try a collection of beers representing a range of wheat ale styles.
