(100% Sauvignon Blanc; Loire, France)
From limestone-clay soils; expressive and complex nose, wild broom, elder, citrus and notes of stewed apples; well extracted and textured palate, almost suave; this is fresh and lively with a fine balance and some mandarin/grapefruit notes toward the lingering finish. Exceptional value!

(100% Tinto de Toro [Tempranillo clone]; Toro, Spain)
"Finca Sobreno’s 2007 Crianza is 100% Tinta de Toro aged for 7 months in American oak. Purple-colored, it displays an impressive perfume of cedar, mineral, espresso, violets, and blackberry. Dense and structured on the palate, this burly effort has loads of flavor, plenty of structure, and 4-5 years of aging potential. It is an outstanding value in serious red wine. Drink it from 2014 to 2022 if not longer." – Wine Advocate

Cline Zinfandel 2009 – $11.99
(100% Zinfandel; California, USA)
Fred and Nancy Cline have made great wine in Oakley, Contra Costa County California for decades on the property owned by his grandfather Valeriano Jacuzzi, of pump and spa fame. This juicy bargain shows dark berry fruit including black cherry and raspberry with spice notes and a dollop of vanilla from the oak aging. Firm, supple tannins add complexity to a wine whose average vine age is, remarkably, more than 50 years old. Although most of the grapes in this blend come from Lodi and Oakley, just over 10% comes from other sources in California.
Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel 2009 – $16.99
(100% Zinfandel; Lodi, California)
A step up from the California cuvee is this Ancient Vines Zinfandel of which 98% is sourced from their own vineyards in Lodi and Oakley, but from the "oldest, most historic and shyest bearing Zinfandel blocks." These ancient, over 100 years old, dry-farmed vineyards produce fruit of "stunning concentration." This robust, voluptuous red has flavors of dark berries, coffee, and chocolate with great vanilla oak character and a long lingering finish.
