Mendoza Vineyards resides in the Godoy Cruz barrio of Mendoza, Argentina. Among their many brands, are several Fair Trade vineyards including this one discovered by importer Fran Kysela. Winemaker Celina Fernandez crafted this plush, friendly red from 23-year-old vines. Malbec is the new Shiraz; this delivers soft blackberry aromas and flavors. On a hot 4th I’ll cool it, and quaf it as I grill.
