The result is a sharp, off-dry Pilsner with vibrant hop character. Let the sun shine in.

"What’s in a Name?"

Devil's Backbone "The Congo" Pale Ale 6P - $10.99

For this beer, Devils Backbone tries to make their way through the dark jungle of proper names. India Pale Ales (IPAs) are so called because of the colonial history of England in India. What then do you call Belgian India Pale Ales? Devils Backbone reaches into Belgium’s infamous colonial history for The Congo Pale Ale. Piney and citrusy hops swirl atop a Belgian golden ale base. They’ve nailed the beer. They’re working on the name.

"Run Rampant"

New Belgium Rampant IPA 6P - $9.99

With this brew, New Belgium lets the West Coast hop heavy sensibility that went into their Ranger IPA run wild to make this Imperial IPA. This beer packs a couple of punches.

"Swing Time Seasonal"

Victory Swing Session Saison 6P - $10.49

Taking its cue from a lively jazz jam, Downingtown, PA's Victory Brewing Co, strikes up the creativity to give us this uncommon Belgian style saison. German rye, oats and wheat malts provide the bass and rhythm section, while German and American hops trade off on the melody. On top, orange peel, peppercorns and fresh lemon zest spice it up. It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing.

Victory Golden Monkey 6P - $11.99

Downington, PA’s Victory Brewing Co. respects European beer styles. Though most of their brews are German inspired, for this one they let Belgium represent! Victory says you understand the “monkey” after the second glass.

"Have a Cow, Man"

Lancaster Milk Stout 6P - $9.99

How do you sweeten a brew when the yeast will just turn the sugar into more alcohol? You use lactose, which yeast can’t metabolize. That’s how Lancaster Brewing Co. (and everyone else)makes their Milk Stout. They also use 2-Row, Caramel, Chocolate, Black, and Roasted Barley malts and Cascade and Goldings hops. This gives layers of chocolate and coffee that’re just sweet enough.
